The glorification of human reason killed God and the heroes of Western Civilization. Science and rationalism matured into the new state religion, and morality became unmoored from divine providence.
One form of governing class to the next coveted their monopolies on violence in the predictable ebb and flow of mass reaction to authority. As humanity steps into the new, decentralized age it is vital to remember that 'history does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme.'
So it is incumbent upon the individual to anticipate the prose that will be written in their lifetime and choose the words that write their destiny with purpose lest they are swept into the annals of history, an inconsequential footnote subject to the whims of change and chance.
